Flexographic Printing:

Method of printing graphics onto foil, plastic film, corrugated board,
paper, paperboard, cellophane, or even fabric. Since the flexographic process can be printed on a variety of materials and substrates, it is considered as a versatile and high quality print process for packaging.

The process involves using a conventional or digital imaged photopolymer plate material that is then sent through a washout unit, where the unexposed areas are then washed away leaving behind a raised printing surface. The plate is then applied to a cylinder and prepared for printing.
